Rubber Stamps or Digital Stamps? That is the question

For several months now, I've gone back and forth with the idea of using digital stamps.  I've heard so much about it, and wondered "Can it be just like rubber stamping? or is it a bunch of hype?"  I really wanted to know, but wasn't sure that I wanted to take the plunge.

I chatted with someone about this very thing and she gave me the pros and cons of digital stamping.  I liked that she wasn't biased in her information and really told me what she didn't like about it.  She did tell me that I should at least try it once just to see for myself if it was worth it.    She sent me this link to Maurie J Manning's digital art  http://mosdigitalpencil.com/  (among others) and I decided to take a peek. I instantly fell in love!   I figured I'd give it a shot.  Here's the card I made with one of the images:

My little Superhero friend was perfect for the birthday card I had to make!  Here's a couple more close-ups.

I think I've come to the conclusion that digital stamps will definitely work with original rubber stamping--and they take up less space.  Now I'll just need to save my files on a external drive--just in case!  I think Maurie's work just made it easy to decide.  Now if I could just figure out how to use Copic Markers I'll be doing good!

Love Bug

I've had a stamp set from Unity for quite awhile now, and I ALWAYS forget that I have it.  As I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do for some V-day cards I came upon it once again and knew that I had to make some cards.

I ended up making a couple of cards with this stamp.  Two of them are specifically for V-day.  First this one:

The paper I used totally reminds me of the 60's (not that I would know or anything) and it's perfect with this stamp.  The paper I used for the bug itself is a blue green with little hearts on it.  I really like the way it turned out.  Notice the "Love Bug" license plate?

Then I made this version done in the usual red, pink and white of V-day.

Again, I love the look of the Volkswagen bug with the hearts on it.  A true Valentine's Day card.

I'm thinking I might need to make a few more, in a couple different colors, and keep them on hand and adapt the card to whatever the occasion may be.

Off to make a few more cards!

Jumpstart your Love!

It's been an incredibly long time since I last posted.  What does the time go?  It's been a busy time for me and although I wish I go back and post, post, post all the things I've been working on, I'm starting new.

With that being said, time to jumpstart your love! I've been a busy little bee making all kinds of fun love projects.  Here's a few of the cards that I've come up with.  I decided I would get some very simple sets done, then spend some time working on the cards that take a little more time.

When I was making these, I was wishing I had very young children again so we could use these for their class valentines.
I also came up with this fun set of tags:

They are perfect for boys and girls, and really nothing needs to be added, except maybe "Be My Valentine" on the reverse side.

Then I have one more, than any little boy (or girl for that metter) would love to hand out--how bout a little robot love:
The joys of being a little kid and looking forward to handing out those valentines to all your friends!

Yep. Life's good!
